The Whale Walk

What is the Whale Walk?

An adventure trek through New Zealands best National Parks. Total 11 trails, over 750km in 32 days non-stop!!!.

Why this cause?

Brandon, owner of ON THE WILDSIDE supports the protection of our oceans habitats and works closely with charitable trust company LAST OCEAN.

LAST OCEAN Charitable Trust is non-profit organisation concerned with the protection of the Ross Sea in Antarctic waters. They aim to raise awareness of the Ross Sea and promote the establishment of a Ross Sea marine protected area.

Brandon will walk miles for this cause "its exactly what ON THE WILDSIDE is about!" The amazing Humpback Whales that we swim with every year in Vavau, Tonga have migrated directly from these rich feeding grounds in the Ross Sea (and neighbouring Southern Oceans below New Zealand) to Tonga to breed. We want to support the protection of this habitat and protect Humpback Whales migration from the Ross Sea to Tonga."

ON THE WILDSIDE see this as a crucial. This Oceans inhabitants include many vulnerable species including Humpback Whales, also other marine mammals, fish, birds and marine life that need protection from exploitation and environmental damage. Public awareness and education is key!

Thanks again for your donation and contribution to LAST OCEAN Charitble Trust
